PPA helped to translate the key signatures of this sleek European brand catered to the up-and-coming business travelers with spaces that translate from day to night, to the first ever Innside by Melia Hotel in the US, in the NoMad neighborhood of NYC. PPA played on the most valuable aspects of NYC real estate – light and open vista, for the interior design of this project.

The ground level lobby contained large open spaces for reception and restaurant/ bar, connected to the arcade and flow onto the street, through folding glass doors. The glistering column and large hanging lights beyond the bar signals the two story restaurant space, with a view to the landscaped terrace. The large window on the ground floor leads the guests eyes to through the elevator banks to the rear terrace, every floor has a large open window facing south, creating vignettes of a vertical journey, from a crammed typical midtown rear yard with office windows, to rooftop water tanks, to the open skies with uninterrupted vista to World Trade I. The guestrooms are simply and elegantly finished to create an airy feel, large frosted glass panel allow natural light to flow into the guest bathrooms.
